Amazing Remedy for Reducing Inflammation

I am having some wonderful results with the remedy apis – my new favourite remedy.

It is a really useful remedy for people suffering with inflammation whether it be from swollen, sensitive joints with stinging pains, from allergic reactions such as hives or puffy eyelids from hay fever symptoms. It can be useful when there is extreme sensitivity, with restlessness or trembling and twitching or numbness. Apis is often used for right sided ovarian pains, burning pains in the abdomen or throbbing headaches when the brain feels tired.

The emotional picture is also quite extensive with Apis, it can be used to help alleviate grief, fright, rage or jealousy. It also has a place for helping when emotions have been suppressed or for weeping without a cause.

I recently prescribed it to a patient who was just about to go back onto antidepressants. This lovely lady was so unhappy, teary all of the time, she just didn’t know what else to do. I asked her if she could hold off for a week and I prescribed Apis Mellifica because it just fitted with her experience of apathy and crying without cause.

It is not a remedy I would have usually considered for weepiness but in this case it was just right. When we were having a catch up a few weeks later, the difference was incredible. She reported only having been in tears twice in the month since taking apis but also many of her other symptoms were much improved as well. That is the wonderful thing about homeopathy, it just makes you feel so much better within, your body starts to take care of the rest of your health. Your symptoms just seem to fade away.

As with all homeopathic remedies, the trick is to find the remedy which most fits your overall picture. The remedy needs to encompass both physical and emotional health so that it has the right energy to stimulate your self healing mechanism to adjust so that you can begin to feel well again.

What is the homeopathic remedy Apis, and how can it help with inflammation?

Apis is a homeopathic remedy derived from the honeybee. It’s commonly used to address conditions characterized by swelling, redness, and stinging pain—symptoms similar to those experienced after a bee sting. In homeopathy, Apis is often recommended for various inflammatory conditions, including skin irritations and joint discomfort.

What types of inflammation might benefit from Apis?

Apis is traditionally used for acute inflammatory responses, such as:

  • Swollen, red, and hot skin conditions
  • Joint inflammation with burning or stinging sensations
  • Allergic reactions presenting with puffiness and redness

It’s important to consult with a qualified homeopath to determine if Apis is appropriate for your specific symptoms.

How is Apis typically administered?

In homeopathy, Apis is usually taken in pellet or liquid form. The dosage and potency depend on the individual’s condition and overall health. A homeopath will assess your symptoms and recommend the appropriate dosage and frequency.

Are there any precautions to consider when using Apis?

While Apis is generally considered safe when used as directed in homeopathic dilutions, it’s essential to:

  • Consult with a healthcare professional before starting any new remedy, especially if you have existing health conditions or are taking other medications.
  • Monitor your symptoms and report any adverse reactions to your practitioner.
Can Apis be used alongside conventional treatments?

Homeopathic remedies like Apis are often used as complementary therapies. However, it’s crucial to inform your healthcare providers about all treatments you’re using to ensure coordinated and safe care.
